I only allow the client in the treatment room. No one under the age 18 may be in the treatment room. If you need to cancel with less than 48 hours notice, your deposit will not be refundable. If you have not paid your deposit, a £50 penalty will need to be paid. If you are on antibiotics or are unwell on the day of treatment you will need to reschedule. Not everyone is suitable for certain procedures but please note the options that suit you will be offered. If you are pregnant or breast feeding, you must wait 6 months after giving birth &/or 6 months after nursing before you can be treated. Ideally it would be best for you to have your permanent makeup done before filler or botox, if this isn't possible then you will need to wait 6 weeks after filler & 2 weeks after botox. No alcohol, asprin or blood thinners for 24 hours prior to treatment. Heart conditions or if you have a pacemaker - you will be required to provide a doctors note before we can proceed with any treatment. Shingles - you must be clear for at least 6 months before you book a treatment. Haemophilia or blood disorders - you will be required to provide a doctors note before we can proceed with any treatment. If you suffer with coldsores you will be required to use Zovirax for 5 days before & 5 days after lip treatment. Please note this does not guarantee you will not suffer with a breakout but it will help greatly. Certain medication can affect the final result. Please be sure to let me know all medical conditions & medications you are on so we can do the best possible treatment to suit you. Do NOT take any fish oils for 2 weeks before any treatment. Retinol is in some facecreams, this can affect the colour pigment. You can still use these creams but avoid applying to the area that has been treated.

What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent makeup or micro pigmentation is a form of tattooing. The natural mineral pigment used is implanted into the skin, giving you natural results that can last for years if looked after correctly. All permanent makeup whether it is performed by hand tool i.e: microblading or with a machine is a tattoo & is permanent. Even though it is permanent, it will still fade over time, but there will always be a trace of pigment in the skin. This is why colour boosters are recommended every 12 - 18 months, but clients can sometimes go years without needing a booster. Permanent makeup recreates your favourite makeup - whether you like a natural look or something more dramatic.

Are there any side effects to having permanent makeup?

Side effects to the treatment are usually localised to the treatment area. Any swelling or bruising that occurs usually subsides within 24 hours of the initial treatment. Flaking of the treated area is normal during the healing process, all of which is fully explained in the aftercare sheet I provide post treatment & discussed together in your consultation. Any unusual side effects such as heat, blistering & extreme itching are extremely rare & although a patch test is carried out a minimum of 12 hours prior to any treatment, an allergic response/reaction could still occur at any time post treatment, even years after. If any unusual side effects occur then please seek medical advice straight away & inform me.

Who is permanent makeup for & what are the benefits?

Permanent makeup can recreate natrual features that were lost over time, for medical reasons or effects caused by self treatments. It can be your favourite makeup look created to save you time & effort of applying it yourself. It can be truly valuable to those who are visually impaired, have an unsteady hand or allergies to conventional makeup. Those that lead an active lifestyle can be worry free from running/smearing makeup. Or simply those whonjust don't have time! Permanent makeup is for any age over 18 years, any gender & every tone of skin.

Does the procedure hurt?

Your comfort is of the upmost importance. Everyone has a different pain threshold. A topical anaesthetic is applied before the treatment starts & also reapplied throughout the procedure. There may still be a little discomfort but this should ease as the treatment progresses.

Who chooses the shape & colour?

At your consultation we will go through your options together of the style & colour to suit your face, taking into consideration your natural features & how you like your makeup look to be. With brows - I use mapping string to measure out what your natural brow shape & size are & we go from there. Absolutely nothing is tattoo'd on without you being completely happy with everything we have gone through.

How long will it take to heal?

The treated area will be sensitive for a few days & can take up to 2 weeks to fully heal. I provide you with an aftercare pack & instructions which must be followed to ensure your new makeup is looked after & stays at its very best. Good aftercare determines how good the end result will be.

How long does permanent makeup last?

Permanent makeup can last years if looked after correctly & if you keep up with your boosters. You will be booked in for 1 complimentary touch up appointment approximately 6 weeks after the initial treatment. This is essential to touch up any fading or patchiness. After this you won't need to be seen for another 12 - 18 months.

Is it expensive & how can I pay?

The initial procedure price can vary due to what style you desire, this will be discussed in the free, no obligation consultation. The touch up, which is 6 weeks after the first treatment, is included in the initial price. Then it is recommended you have a colour boost after 12 - 18 months which is half the price of your first treatment if you are a returning client or £150 - £195 for colour boosting if it is your first time to me. I ask for a £50 deposit to secure your appointment, this can be made via bank transfer, cash or card payment during the consultation. The remaining balance will be due in full on the day of your first treatment by the same methods of payment mentioned above.
